His approach to fashion and skincare transcends the exterior; it’s about recognising the finer details that elevate the ordinary into the extraordinary, shaping a persona that is both powerful and refined.

This philosophy underpins IMAGE X. Inspired by Ford’s unwavering quest for perfection, I’ve dedicated myself to helping men become better versions of themselves—both physically and mentally. A man with a Titanium mindset, who is ahead of time, capable of excelling in every area of life.

The Embodiment of Elegance and Power

Redefining the “modern gentleman” with a legacy of timeless class, sophistication, and royal elegance is something I deeply crave.

Tom Ford is not just a name; he’s an icon—a legend who has redefined what it means to be a “modern gentleman”. His journey began with a passion for design, but it’s his relentless pursuit of perfection that sets him apart. Ford revolutionised fashion by merging scientific precision with luxury, creating designs that aren’t just clothes but statements of power, elegance, and sophistication.

Ford’s philosophy is simple yet profound: true style is in the details. His designs are a masterclass in how a man should look and dress—refined, powerful, and undeniably confident. Every piece he creates is a reflection of his belief that fashion isn’t just about appearance; it’s about crafting a persona. His work embodies class, discipline, and the art of standing out without needing to shout.

This is the standard I aspire to and the standard I set for myself. My mission, like Ford’s, is to guide men in becoming the best versions of themselves for the people they care about—both in appearance and mindset. It’s not just about dressing well; it’s about living well. It’s about embodying the timeless qualities that Ford champions: class, sophistication, and the unwavering commitment to excellence.

In a world where mediocrity is the norm, Tom Ford is a reminder that true elegance is timeless, and true power comes from within. And this, right here, is the standard you should demand of yourself. We’re not just about looking good; we’re about being the epitome of what it means to be a ‘MAN’, a  modern gentleman.

SIX RULES OF STYLE

A Masterclass in Elegance

Tom Ford’s approach to style is as much about mindset as it is about appearance.

He begins with a simple yet profound rule:

Rule 01: Relax. Style should enhance your life, not complicate it.

By taking a breath and finding clarity, you can approach fashion with ease and confidence.

Rule 02: Ford believes every man’s wardrobe should include a crisp white poplin shirt.

It’s a versatile piece that pairs perfectly with a dark suit, adding a sharp contrast that never fails to impress. For Ford, a collar bar with a suit and tie is a personal touch that adds a unique flair, steering away from the conservative.

Rule 03: When it comes to suits, Ford is clear: avoid the trend of slim fits with skinny lapels and short jackets.

Instead, opt for a well-constructed suit with strong shoulders and generous lapels. A suit should make you feel confident, youthful, and trim, broadening your shoulders while slimming your waist.

Rule 04: Ford’s style philosophy extends to two main looks:

A sleek urban look, dominated by black suits and boots, and a more relaxed country look in rich tones of dark brown. His love for timeless pieces is evident in his preference for a dark brown suede jacket, which he notes will last forever if you maintain your figure.

Rule 05: Nighttime, according to Ford,

is the perfect opportunity for men to embrace extravagance while remaining classic and chic. He advocates for the traditional tuxedo, emphasising that it’s better to be overdressed than underdressed. His fondness for velvet, even in summer, highlights his commitment to rich, luxurious textures.

Rule 06: Finally, Ford’s rule on fragrance is to embrace it fully.

He layers scents throughout the day, creating a personal aura that’s both inviting and memorable. His advice is simple: choose a great fragrance and wear it confidently.

In summary, Tom Ford’s rules of style are a guide to achieving a sophisticated, confident look that’s rooted in classic menswear principles. It’s about making thoughtful choices that reflect who you are, while ensuring you always put your best foot forward.

THREE RULES OF GROOMING

Elevating Your Best Self

Tom Ford's grooming philosophy is all about enhancing your natural look, not changing it. It’s about presenting the best version of yourself—sharp, confident, and undeniably polished. Here’s how Ford keeps it simple yet impactful with his three essential rules:

Rule 1: Skin Care is Non-Negotiable Start with your skin, the foundation of any good grooming routine.

Ford emphasises the importance of understanding your skin’s needs—know where it’s dry and where it isn’t. Exfoliation is key, and Ford recommends using a fine muslin cloth with a quality cleanser, like his Purifying Face Cleanser. And don’t just stop in the morning—make sure to wash your face at night, too.

Hydration is crucial, so moisturise while your skin is still damp, locking in that moisture. And never forget sunscreen—it’s your first line of defence against ageing. For those minor imperfections, a light concealer will do the trick. And to give your skin that healthy, sun-kissed glow, Ford suggests using his bronzing gel on the areas that would naturally catch the sun.

Rule 2: Master the Art of Stubble.

Stubble is more than just a lazy day look—it’s a staple of masculine beauty when done right. Ford is all about precision here. A well-maintained beard can enhance your jawline’s strength, so he trims his beard every few days to keep it at the perfect length. He pays special attention to trimming beneath the jawline where it meets the neck, ensuring a clean, defined look. And of course, conditioning the beard with a quality beard oil is a must.

Rule 3: Don’t Overlook Your Brows Eyebrows might seem like a small detail, but according to Ford, they make a massive difference.

A strong, well-groomed brow frames the face and completes your look. Ford keeps his brows neat and brushed up, using a brow gel to maintain their shape. He’s a fan of tweezing for control, but warns against overdoing it—your brows should look natural, not overly sculpted.

In essence, Tom Ford’s grooming rules are about the power of subtlety. It’s about refining the details that make the difference, ensuring you look your best without looking like you’re trying too hard. This is the blueprint for modern grooming—elevated, effortless, and distinctly you.

THREE RULES OF UNDERWEAR

The Foundation of Style

Tom Ford reminds us that even the most unseen parts of your wardrobe deserve attention. Underwear might not be on display, but it’s a crucial element of your overall look and comfort. Here’s how Ford keeps it refined and intentional with his three rules of underwear:

Rule 1: Stock Up!

You can never have too many pairs of underwear. Ford emphasises the importance of a well-stocked drawer, filled with a variety of colours and materials to suit any occasion. It’s not just about quantity—it’s about having the right options at your disposal.

Rule 2: Choose Wisely.

Fit is everything when it comes to underwear. Briefs are ideal under well-fitted clothes, but make sure they’re not too tight—you don’t want visible lines ruining your outfit. Jersey boxers offer a longer leg, clearing the bottom of your backside and reducing the risk of bunching under trousers. For thicker fabrics or looser fits, woven boxers provide comfort without sacrificing style. And when it comes to sleepwear, nothing beats the luxury of silk.

Rule 3: Don’t Be Afraid to Take Risks.

There are times when your underwear choice matters—like when you know it’ll be seen. Ford encourages taking risks with your selections in these moments. Just make sure what you choose fits well and enhances your body shape. Confidence starts with what’s underneath.

In essence, Tom Ford’s rules of underwear are about more than just comfort—they’re about laying the foundation for a well-curated wardrobe that reflects attention to detail and a commitment to style, even in the most intimate aspects.

THREE RULES OF FRAGRANCE

The Art of Scent

Tom Ford understands that fragrance is more than just an accessory—it’s an essential part of your identity. How you smell can leave a lasting impression, sometimes even more powerful than how you look.

Here’s how Ford approaches the art of fragrance with his three essential rules:

Rule 1: Perfect Your Application

Ford laughs at the idea of lightly misting fragrance in the air and walking through it. His method? Go big. Ford believes in wearing a lot of fragrance—if you love a scent, why not fully embrace it? He doesn’t see the point in only smelling a little bit good when you can smell great. Ford even varies his scents throughout the day, and always adds a touch before bed, finding it a relaxing way to end a tough day.

Rule 2: Adjust the Intensity

Not every moment calls for the same level of fragrance. Ford advises choosing your scent’s intensity to match the occasion. A small drop of eau de parfum can offer a powerful scent, but when he wants something more subtle, he opts for an eau de toilette or even a fragrance-infused soap. It’s all about finding the right balance for the situation.

Rule 3: Match Your Mood

Fragrance, for Ford, is about mood as much as it is about smell. He keeps a selection of fragrances to suit different feelings. A rich, woody scent like his private blend, Fougere Platine, boosts his confidence, while a lighter citrus fragrance like Mandarino Di Amalfi is his go-to for summer vacations. And when he’s feeling fabulous? There’s a fragrance for that too.

In essence, Tom Ford’s rules of fragrance are about making your scent a true extension of yourself. It’s about being generous with what you love, adjusting for the moment, and choosing a fragrance that matches how you feel. This is the blueprint for mastering the art of scent—confident, intentional, and always true to you.
